For this kitchen project in Massachusetts, our Delft tiles became part of a beautifully designed interior by Lawless Design. The kitchen combines deep colours and natural materials with traditional details, creating a space that feels warm and inviting while still having a modern character. Our Delft tile backsplash adds a decorative element among the deeper tones of the kitchen.

For the backsplash, Lawless Design used our P-3 Large Flowers, hand-painted in manganese on our Ivory 1 base shade. These tiles are inspired by original 18th- and 19th-century Delft tiles. Some of the flowers are accompanied by small insects, filling the backsplash with little details and unexpected elements to discover.

The backsplash creates an interesting focal point within the otherwise calm kitchen, while the warm manganese and soft ivory tones fit naturally with the dark cabinetry, wood and natural stone used throughout the interior.
