For this project, our Delft tiles played a beautiful part in the San Francisco Decorator Showcase, where they were featured as a fireplace surround in Delft Dreams, a thoughtfully designed room by Chantal Lamberto.
Chantal Lamberto created a warm and inviting Victorian-inspired interior, layered with elegant details and gentle references to Delft blue throughout the space. Rather than overwhelming the room, these blue accents appear in a balanced and natural way, allowing the interior to feel both sophisticated and comfortable. At the centre of the design, our Delft tile fireplace became a true eye catcher, adding texture, craftsmanship, and a sense of history to the room.
The fireplace was composed of 45 tiles from our P-7.1 Small flowers series in blue and 45 tiles from our P-7.2 Small flowers series with spider corner motifs in blue. All tiles were painted on our Poarte-E base shade and enhanced with pinholes and a crackled finish, creating a soft aged character that suited the room beautifully. Together, the floral scenes and corner motifs form a lively yet harmonious surface that feels distinctly Delft while sitting naturally within the Victorian setting.
This project came to us through our dealer The Tile Room in Nantucket, and we are grateful to have been part of such a beautiful design. The room was beautifully captured by elias.blanton, whose photography perfectly highlights its atmosphere and detail.
