PCM-30 | Three-dot corner motif

The three-dot corner motif Delft tile (PCM-30) is a highly decorative and distinctive design, larger than any other corner motif we offer. Its foundation is a stylized version of the ox-head motif, with three prominent dots emerging from it. These dots are linked to the trinity symbol, a concept found in various cultural and religious traditions, representing themes such as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, or the three stages of life—youth, adulthood, and old age.

In addition to the central motif, half of a leaf is painted along each side. When multiple tiles are placed together, a repeating pattern is formed, making the leaves appear whole. This structured design enhances tiled surfaces with both symmetry and movement, making it a striking choice for classic and contemporary interiors alike.

The photos on this page display PCM-30 in traditional blue, painted on the grey mix with pinholes but no crackled finish. The crackled finish can be added for those seeking an aged, antique appearance.

Hand-painted craftsmanship
Each tile is hand-painted by skilled artisans, ensuring precision and depth in every design. The three-dot corner motif is available in traditional Delft blue, with custom colors available on request.

A timeless tradition
The three-dot motif is a variation of the classic ox-head motif, designed to be more decorative and symbolic. The trinity-inspired dots and connected leaf patterns reflect the artistic evolution of Delft tile design, offering both historical significance and aesthetic appeal.

Pinholes in the corners; pinholes replicate a historical feature from Delft tile production before approximately 1860. These small indentations, originally left by stabilizing pins, enhance the authentic, imperfect character of the tile.

Crackled finish; PCM-30 is shown without a crackled finish, maintaining a clean, refined look. However, an optional crackled finish can be added to replicate the fine surface cracks that develop naturally on antique Delft tiles over time.
