P-33 series – Animals
These Delft wall tiles take their inspiration from original 17th-century reclaimed tiles, each featuring small animals scene in classic Delft blue. The photos show the P-33 series painted on our Warm Mix, decorated with ox-head (PCM-20) corner motifs and finished with pinholes for an extra authentic touch. This is our standard setup, but we’re happy to customise the tiles to match your style and preferences.
20 unique scenes
The P-33 series features 20 hand-painted animal scenes, inspired by an original reclaimed Delft tile set dating back to around 1660. The series includes a playful mix of creatures, from everyday animals like deer, foxes, rams, moose, and dogs to more exotic ones such as a monkey, circus elephant, and a peacock. Each scene is painted in classic Delft blue and carries a clean, minimalistic feel that gives the tiles a timeless and elegant look. This series works beautifully in larger installations, especially when combined with other animal tiles or plain white tiles that share the same ox-head corner motifs.
Pinholes in the corners
Before 1860, tile makers used wooden boards with small pins to steady the clay while shaping it, which left pinholes in the surface. Today, we replicate this traditional detail by including two pinholes per tile. As a result, the tiles retain the handcrafted, slightly imperfect charm that defines historic Delft tilework.
Crackled finish
Over time, Delft tiles naturally develop a fine web of surface cracks, known as crazing, which many see as a sign of age and character. To help recreate that aged appearance, we offer a crackled finish as an optional enhancement. While some prefer a cleaner look, this finish adds warmth, depth, and an unmistakably antique feel that suits this series beautifully.

Product disclaimer
We use traditional techniques to make our Delft tiles, and up to five artists may contribute to the painting process. Because of this, slight variations in size, color, and detail are to be expected, and celebrated. Although we don’t offer machine-like perfection, we do uphold a high standard of craftsmanship. These tiles are built to last and will continue to age gracefully for decades, or even centuries, to come.

- How can the tiles be cleaned?Clean tile surfaces with a non-abrasive, mild and PH neutral cleaner. Neutral cleaners are devoid of acids, caustics, harsh fillers, or abrasives that could scratch the surface of the tile. Do not use abrasive cleaning pads, steel wool, metal brushes or scouring pads as these may scratch the surface of the glaze. Crackled tiles that will face regular wet use should be sealed after installation and periodically as needed.

- What’s the warrantee?A warranty period of 2 years applies to the newly sold and delivered tiles, unless otherwise agreed.

- How many tiles can I order?There is no minimum order quantity. Most orders of plain white Delft tiles can be covered from our stock, while the decorated tiles are in general 'made to order'.
