P-8 series – Small scenes
These Delft wall tiles are based on original 17th century reclaimed Delft tiles with very small and charming scenes. The tiles are without corner motifs, which is an iconic style for this time period (second half 17th century). The manganese version of this tile can be found here. The photos show the P-8 series painted on the warm mix, with the crackled finish and pinholes. This is our base configuration, but of course it can be completely fine-tuned to your vision.
20 unique scenes
All the scenes in this series are direct reproductions of designs found on original 17th-century reclaimed Delft tiles. The collection includes 20 unique motifs, featuring animals, children at play, pastoral scenes, cupids, fruits, and other charming objects. The designs are simple and minimalistic, which gives the tiles a soft, understated look, perfect for creating a calm and timeless atmosphere. With so many different scenes, you can build an installation that always offers something new to notice. And because each tile is hand-painted, no two are ever exactly the same, every piece adds its own quiet character to the whole.
Pinholes in the corners
Before 1860, tile makers used wooden boards with small pins to steady the clay while shaping it, which left pinholes in the surface. Today, we replicate this traditional detail by including two pinholes per tile. As a result, the tiles retain the handcrafted, slightly imperfect charm that defines historic Delft tilework.
Crackled finish
Over time, Delft tiles naturally develop a fine web of surface cracks, known as crazing, which many see as a sign of age and character. To help recreate that aged appearance, we offer a crackled finish as an optional enhancement. While some prefer a cleaner look, this finish adds warmth, depth, and an unmistakably antique feel that suits this series beautifully.

Product disclaimer
We use traditional techniques to make our Delft tiles, and up to five artists may contribute to the painting process. Because of this, slight variations in size, color, and detail are to be expected, and celebrated. Although we don’t offer machine-like perfection, we do uphold a high standard of craftsmanship. These tiles are built to last and will continue to age gracefully for decades, or even centuries, to come.

- How can the tiles be cleaned?Clean tile surfaces with a non-abrasive, mild and PH neutral cleaner. Neutral cleaners are devoid of acids, caustics, harsh fillers, or abrasives that could scratch the surface of the tile. Do not use abrasive cleaning pads, steel wool, metal brushes or scouring pads as these may scratch the surface of the glaze. Crackled tiles that will face regular wet use should be sealed after installation and periodically as needed.

- What’s the warrantee?A warranty period of 2 years applies to the newly sold and delivered tiles, unless otherwise agreed.

- How many tiles can I order?There is no minimum order quantity. Most orders of plain white Delft tiles can be covered from our stock, while the decorated tiles are in general 'made to order'.
