Custom design, in short:
– Custom designs for your project in the Delft style.
– Based on anything you can provide, whether it is written text, a photo of your dog, a home you used to live, your personal car collection, a hobby, favourite family activities etc.
– A one time development fee per design of € 45,-, after that a regular price per tile, no matter how many tiles are made of that specific design.
– A sketch of the design will be presented to you for approval.
– Samples can be made and provided on request.
– Minimum project size – € 1.000,-.
Your design on our Delft tiles
Are you interested in working with Delft tiles, but with hand-painted scenes reflecting your own style, hobbies and interests? We can do it all! From Delft tiles with American muscle cars, two children playing a game of tennis to the beautiful house you live in or the favourite flower in your garden. It is all possible! Our artists can use photos, drawings or design something from scratch based on your input. Sometimes they use one of our series and twist the designs to what you have in mind, allowing you to stick to the classic look and feel of our Delft tiles with your own personal touch.
The Poarte Delft tile is the base tile for your project
Your designs can be painted on any of the available shades of white that we currently offer. Just as with our regular series, the tiles can be painted in blue, manganese or a combination of colours. They can also be enhanced with the crackled finish and pinholes, to make the tiles look more aged, worn and imperfect. Basically you are developing your own Poarte series!

Product disclaimer
Our Delft tiles are made with traditional methods and hand-painted by up to five different artists, so minor variations in colour, size and design are common. We do not offer machine made perfection, but do offer a very high quality standard. It allows us to make sure that our tiles are suitable to use for all indoor installations with the charm and imperfections Delft tiles are known for. They will last for decades, maybe even centuries.

- Where can I buy these tiles?You can buy our tiles by contacting one of our dealers through the 'find a dealer' page.
- How can the tiles be cleaned?Clean tile surfaces with a non-abrasive, mild and PH neutral cleaner. Neutral cleaners are devoid of acids, caustics, harsh fillers, or abrasives that could scratch the surface of the tile. Do not use abrasive cleaning pads, steel wool, metal brushes or scouring pads as these may scratch the surface of the glaze. Crackled tiles that will face regular wet use should be sealed after installation and periodically as needed.

- What’s the warrantee?A warranty period of 2 years applies to the newly sold and delivered tiles, unless otherwise agreed.

- How many tiles can I order?There is no minimum order quantity. Most orders of plain white Delft tiles can be covered from our stock, while the decorated tiles are in general 'made to order'.
