P-3 series – Large flowers

These Delft wall tiles are inspired by original 18th- and 19th-century reclaimed Delft tiles, featuring large flowers in blue The tiles are painted on our Poarte-E shade, finished with natural pinholes, our standard configuration. Of course, this can be fully tailored to match your preferences. Looking for the manganese version? You can find it here.

24 unique animal scenes

Each scene in this series closely reproduces large flower motifs originally found on 18th- and 19th-century reclaimed Delft tiles. With 44 unique hand-painted scenes, the collection captures a rich variety of flowers, occasionally accompanied by a curious bird, fluttering butterfly, or tiny insect. With so much variety, you can create a tile layout that’s full of little details and surprises, there’s always something new to notice. And since each tile is hand-painted, no two are exactly alike, giving your space a unique and personal touch.

Pinholes in the corners

Pinholes were part of the production process before 1860. The tile was cut out of clay and to keep it steady while cutting it, a wooden board was placed on top of it with two, three or sometimes even four pins entering the clay (and thus the tile). Adding this enhancement creates two of these pinholes in each tile. It contributes to the authentic and imperfect look and feel of the tiles.

Crackled finish

Crazing is a phenomenon that produces a network of fine cracks on the surface of Delft tiles (and other ceramics). It happens over time (decades, if not centuries). This enhancement is really a matter of taste, as many consider it to be part of the antique experience, while others prefer a tile without. If you are looking for an aged and imperfect look, it is very much worth adding it.
