Ivory 2 is the darkest tone in our collection of three ivory shades, offering a rich and sophisticated presence. With its subtle depth, Ivory 2 provides a striking contrast to the lighter Ivory and the balanced Ivory 1, making it a key element in the Ivory Mix.
This tone is ideal for creating a contemporary look with a touch of warmth. Whether used individually or as part of a mix, Ivory 2 pairs beautifully with both plain and decorated Delft tile installations, adding character and elegance to any space.
Pinholes in the corners; pinholes reflect the historic production process used until approximately 1860, where clay tiles were stabilized with a wooden board held in place by pins, leaving small indentations in the corners. These subtle details can be added to Ivory 2 to enhance its authentic, timeless appearance.
Crackled finish; crazing, or fine surface cracks, naturally develops on antique Delft tiles over time. This effect can be recreated with an optional crackled finish, giving Ivory 2 a gently aged and textured look. For a smoother, more contemporary feel, the crackled finish can be omitted, allowing the tile’s deep tone to take center stage.
